    The transportation of fruits and vegetables requires thoroughness and strict compliance with all sanitary-epidemiological and phytosanitary requirements. The unique requirements of fruit transportation are largely explained by the fact that fruits are seasonal products. Turnover in this segment peaks from the end of November to the end of February. This phenomenon is due to the increased demand for seasonal oranges, tangerines and other fruits during the holiday season. During this period, low temperatures and consistently high air humidity adversely affects the state of the transported fruits. Temperature during the transportation of fresh fruit and vegetables should be not lower than the established standards.

    To avoid spoilage and loss of goods, AsstrA organizes refrigerated transport and ensures optimum temperatures for the transportation of fruit and vegetables. Another aspect affecting the conditions of transport is that vegetables and fruits are classified as perishable goods. Therefore it is important to carry out transportation as soon as possible. The drivers take turns so that the transportation is carried out practically around the clock, without stopping.

    The transportation of olives does not involve seasonal considerations and can be carried out at any time of the year. As a rule, peak cargo turnover in this segment falls during the autumn period. Olives are largely unaffected by temperature fluctuations, but a decrease in air temperature below zero degrees Celsius, typical for autumn, leads to spoilage rendering further use impossible. In the cold season, the international transportation of olives is carried out with strict observance of the temperature regime. The transport used for olives must meet certain criteria: it must be dry, cool, and ventilated.
