AsstrA provides a full range of logistics and transport services supporting sea freight shipping. International sea freight shipping is the most economical transport mode, and the sea freight transportation segment is characterized by persistently high demand. The high demand for – and cargo volumes shipped via – sea container freight services can be explained by the impressive capabilities of sea and river transport and the comparatively easy formalities it involves. In particular, sea freight is popular due to low costs and the high load capacity of cargo vessels. In case of long-distance delivery, sea freight can optimize transportation servicing costs and save money. Shipping by sea is much cheaper than air freight and in many cases much faster than road freight.

An important feature of sea freight transport is the containerized cargo system. Transportation in containers provides an additional safety measure and simplifies servicing of small-size piece cargo. One cargo vessel can carry about eighteen thousand TEU standard containers, making international container shipping a cost-efficient way to transport high quantities of product.

AsstrA organizes and provides sea container transportation in Europe and beyond in such a way so that our Clients can enjoy all its benefits. Our specialists analyze individual customer’s needs and cargo characteristics and develop optimal transportation routes in Europe, the CIS, the Baltics, the Balkans, and Central Asia. AsstrA provides timely delivery of any goods regardless of distance. Thanks to productive cooperation with international transport companies and major port authorities, we offer a flexible pricing policy and maintain a high level of service quality.

  • CARGO TYPESCARGO TYPES

According to statistical data, the majority of global cargo is delivered via sea transport. The technical features of cargo vessels can accommodate nearly all types of goods, including crude oil and petroleum products, chemical substances and materials, mineral products, condensed gas, raw materials for various industries, cars, trucks, equipment, livestock, and food products, among others. Transportation of certain categories of goods must be performed with adherence to certain safety rules. Disregarding these rules can cause damage to transport vessels and accompanying cargoes, threaten the life and health of the crew, and compromise ecological safety. In particular, transportation of dangerous goods by sea poses a high risk of environmental pollution and therefore requires strict compliance with all safety rules. AsstrA closely follows changes in Russian law and international legal regulations concerning sea freight. Our container logistics specialists can therefore provide secure and timely delivery taking into account the specific characteristics of any cargo.
