Work has started at Sheffield's largest employment site, with two speculative units scheduled for completion in November 2019.
The PLP Bessemer Park scheme on the former Outokumpu steel works on Shepcote Lane spans 50 acres and is being brought forward by PLP.
Phase one comprises two industrial/warehouse units of 45,000 sq ft and 134,000 sq ft. The second phase could offer 660,000 sq ft of space.
Neil Dickinson, chief investment officer at PLP, said: "We are extremely pleased to be developing this fantastic flagship site which is ideally placed to serve both national and local occupiers for warehouse logistics. The development will also create a large number of jobs whilst significantly improving Sheffield’s economic base."
