AsstrA’s branch in Poland celebrated its 20th anniversary on August 7. Since 2001, AsstrA Poland has grown from a group of three professionals to a specialized team of two hundred people in eight locations. The Polish team of 4PL service providers coordinates and monitors logistics processes so as to provide customers with tailor-made solutions.
Over the last 20 years, AsstrA Polska has opened offices in Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan as well as in Malaszewicze, where the country’s key railway reloading terminal is located. Asstra Polska has also opened customs agencies in Kuznica, Koroszczyn, and Bialystok to complement its intermodal freight transport capabilities. The company also runs its own warehouse in Blonie, 35 km from the Polish capital, and provides a full range of customs clearance and logistics process optimization solutions there for customers.
“In Poland, we started with a single small office. Today we are present at the country’s most important rail, sea, and road logistic hubs. Our presence here at the heart of Central and Eastern Europe helps us take advantage of good transportation infrastructure to support shipments to anywhere in Europe,” says Andrzej Iwanow-Kolakowski, EU Regional Director at AsstrA.
As a business, AsstrA’s strengths remain strong interpersonal communication skills, effective teamwork, and an emphasis on constant innovation. AsstrA takes a systematic, trust-based approach to creating value for customers.
“Global market conditions are driving the rapid evolution of well-established schemes and significant demand for new technological solutions. Currently we are working on a transformation strategy that will help us continue expanding our capabilities in the modern age. We are implementing business process automation tools that we apply to each customer’s unique requirements. Our customers have long-term business goals, and we aim to help achieve them all along the way,” emphasizes Andrzej Iwanow-Kolakowski.
